In order to promote vigilance and allied assistance to Russia, the Ministry of Defence of Belarus continues to undertake attempts at disinformation and implementation of information-psychological special operations (IPSO).
The creation of an illusion of “border reinforcement” between Belarus and Ukraine continues.
In addition to the troop train dispatched on August 11, 2024 consisting of 37 railcars from Borisov station (Minsk Division of the Belarusian Railway – NOD-1) to Novobelitskaya station (Gomel Division of the Belarusian Railway – NOD-4), another small train consist of this type was formed and dispatched on August 14, 2024.
On August 14, 2024, from Zaslonovo station (Minsk Division of the Belarusian Railway – NOD-1) to Novobelitskaya station (Gomel Division of the Belarusian Railway – NOD-4), troop train No. 961 was dispatched consisting of 17 railcars, including:
- 1 passenger car (with Armed Forces of Belarus personnel);
- 16 flatcars (loaded with military equipment).
The approximate departure time of troop train No. 961 from Zaslonovo station was 06:00 on the specified date, local time.
The estimated arrival time at the destination station Novobelitskaya was 17:10 local time on the same date.
Throughout the entire route, the troop train operated under diesel locomotive traction.
Route of troop train No. 961: Zaslonovo → Orsha → Mogilev → Zhlobin → Gomel → Novobelitskaya. Transport distance via the Belarusian Railway – 407 km.
This time, the transfer involved one of the battalions of the 19th Mechanized Brigade (military unit 14398).
It should be noted that for the transport of this insignificant volume of personnel and equipment, a separate locomotive and at least two locomotive crews were engaged.
Nevertheless, the volumes of military equipment, ammunition, and personnel relocated to the border with Ukraine at present cannot indicate any significant “reinforcement” of the border in this direction. The impression of the current regime creating an illusion of active measures persists.
We continue operational monitoring of the situation.
