Our sources report that since November 2022, Belintertrans has been looking for a way to serve the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus by supplying the military with 30 forty-foot containers. This is being done on the orders of the Belarusian Railway Administration.
So far this has not worked out, and BTLC is trying to offer 75 twenty-foot containers instead, which it plans to retire from its fleet in the first quarter of 2023.
📍 Note that large-capacity containers are well suited to mobile field storage of any cargo and to housing personnel (little conversion is needed: two-tier bunks and a potbelly stove are enough).
