Lease of 100 Boxcars from Belarusian Railway for Transportation of Explosive Materials

The Military Transportation Directorate (MTDR) of the Republic of Belarus and the Central Military Transportation Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation placed an order to lease 100 boxcars from Belarusian Railway for the transportation of explosive materials (hazard class 1).

Railcars leased from Belarusian Railway for the transportation of dangerous goods (class 1) – are intended for loading and removal of ammunition from Belarus to the Russian Federation.

At present, loading is being conducted at many major artillery armament and ammunition bases. For example, today at Military Unit 67878 (the 46th Missile and Ammunition Arsenal) in the settlement of Bronnaya Gora, loading operations are underway. The quantity of ammunition is so large that they cannot organize loading with their own forces and are detailing military personnel from other units to assist.

After loading, groups of railcars (6-10 units each) are sent to stations of the Minsk railway junction, where they are coupled to regular freight trains and dispatched (via the route: Minsk – Orsha – Krasnoe junction – Smolensk) to destination stations in the Russian Federation🚂.
